The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim reaches 7 million units worldwide
ZeniMax® Media announced today that the acclaimed title The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, coming next week to Brazil, has been enthusiastically received by gamers all around the world. Skyrim reached 7 million retail units for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. The game is expected to revenue over US$450 million in global sales.
Dozens of thousands of fans have lined up at game shops, at the midnight of November 11th, to purchase the game. Skyrim has kept the record of post-launch good sales, with over 50% of its units sold in the first 48 hours. Major retail stores from North America, Europe and Australia have ordered more copies of the game to Bethesda Softworks.
Online activity was also remarkable. In the first 24 hours after its launch, Skyrim established a record of 280 thousand simultaneous players, according to gaming community Steam, a number vastly superior to every other title.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has achieved over 50 perfect review scores and has been applauded by some of the most influentials and respected critics, including USA Today, G4TV, GameSpy, Wired, Eurogamer, Destructoid, GamePro, Official Xbox Magazine, Joystiq, The Guardian and GamesRadar. G4TV described Skyrim as “one of the best games ever made” and Eurogamer was one among the major medias to call it a “masterpiece”.
