Brazilian team, FURIA is the grand champion of the American ESL Pro League of CS:GO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive). The Brazilian team won vs 100 thieves 3-0 in the decisive match of ESL Pro League Season 12: North America and came to its third title of the season. This was their third win outside Brazil. The best of five matches (Md5) ended up with a 3-0 for FURIA, they manage to win Vertigo, 16-7 and Inferno, 16-10 to close up their win and get their hands on the North American ESL Pro League title. The title earned them US$ 60 mil straight to their piggy-bank. The runner-up, 100T went home with US$24 mil.
Team FURIA got the Attention of the Spotlights while Playing in USA
The ESL Pro League Season 12: North America, one of the most traditional CS:GO tourneys of ESL, was help by ESL in September 2020. The competition counted with eight teams in total, FURIA being the only team representing Brazil. It was foreseen that the tourney was going to happen in person, but because of the outbreak, its format was changed to online and was also divided into regions, Europe, South America, Asia and Oceania.
The North American division counted with eight teams in total: FURIA Esports, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, Triumph, Gen.G Esports, Cloud9 and Chaos Esports Club. MIBR, always showing up to the event, did not take part on it this time around. Besides Panteras, Brazil will be represented by two coaches: Wilton “zews”, from Evil Geniuses and Marcos “tacitus”, from Triumph.
The ESL ended the year 2019 with almost 9,5 million registered users on the ESL Play (A 11% growth over last year) and once again gathers players at a truly global scale, reaching mountain top level since its beginning.
