The eSports in Brazil are on fire once again! The League of Legends Brazilian Championship has returned for its Second Split, with four matches that have set the bar way up high. CBLoL, as it is known in Brazil, is the official national tournament presented by Riot Games, equivalent to the North American, European and South Korean LCS, the League of Legends Championship Series. Eight teams will fiercely battle through the next four months to see who will come out on top, and who will be worthy to raise the CBLoL Cup above their heads.
Red Canids, the current Brazilian champions, winners of the first split earlier this year, got a solid victory, 2-nothing, over paiN Gaming; the newcomers of Team One have also defeated Keyd Stars, the runner-ups of the 1st split, 2-to-nothing, showing them they did not come to play around; INTZ bested CNB, also 2-zero, and ProGaming won 2-0 over TShow, the team that has just graduated from the Challenger Series to the Elite Divison of League of Legends in Brazil.
CBLoL matches take place weekly, on every Saturday and Sunday, with two confrontations per day. The next games will happen on June 11th and 12th, between Keyd Stars vs CNB; INTZ vs Team One; TShow vs paiN Gaming and ProGaming vs Red Canids. There will be a 15-day hiatus between July 2nd and 15th due to the newly announced Rift Rivals, a continental tournament that will have regions facing off with other regions. Red Canids and Keyd Stars, the 1st and 2nd place of CBLoL 1st Split, will represent the region Brazil against the rest of South America.
The finals of the 2nd Split of CBLoL will happen on September 2nd, but Riot is yet to confirm a location for the grand finals.
